Adjudicator Training Course

Comhairle na Mumhan hosted our first provincial Adjudicators Training Course since 2017 recently in the Devon Inn Hotel, Templeglantine, Co. Limerick. The course catered for new adjudicators of music, singing and Comhrá Gaeilge. Forty participants attended an excellent weekend of tuition, information and guidance on adjudicating at Fleadhanna Cheoil competitions. We are greatly indebted to the Head Office Course Team: Siobhán Ní Chonaráin, Caitríona de Brún, Pat Flanagan, Seán Walsh, Karen Trench, Maura Walsh and Nóirín Ní Shúilleabháin for the preparation of documentation and the manner in which they delivered the course. A number of practical adjudicating sessions were also held during the weekend allowing participants to apply their skills to various adjudicating scenarios. It is anticipated that having gained experience by sitting-in with established adjudicators at this year's Fleadhanna that many of the participants will be added to the national panel in the future.
